Backburner Art #1b- Rain World (Downpour Campaigns)

One of the best dynamic pictures I've drawn up to this point.

Backburner Art #1b- Rain World (Downpour Campaigns)
What a horrifying destiny you've found.

This is the other reason that I am glad for combining all the campaigns of the game into one drawing. This is still one of my favorites due to all of the shenanigans that are going on within it, as well as all the detail I've managed to provide.

Yet again, all of these slugcats have different colors, so we have the Nuclear Scug, Monoscug, Ruffles the Scug, Messenger 07, and the Saint.

The tree I am really proud of! It's the tree from the Outer Expanse, the one that you can climb on top of. Having the hard line art for the tree (and orb) mixed with the brush-stroke-looking leaf bunches I think work better than it probably should've. The orange fog/clouds covering up the metallic gray-blue (and admittedly hard to see) distant iterator can also works, especially considering that they're opposites on the color wheel.

Nuclear Scug is probably my favorite slugcat I've drawn here. He so chonky, and I'm proud that I pulled that off. In addition, I like how I drew him throwing that explody thing. Monoscug's pose is alright, but I really like the sparks I drew around her, it fits well with how her powers work in game. Ruffles' pose is also enjoyable. They do look a bit derpy though, but then again, the rivulet seems to be portrayed like that everywhere (if they're not presented as an eldrich being of chaos). Messenger 07 has one of their spears stuck in the tree, and are just hanging onto it. Just some fun details, but also that campaign I remember not enjoying that much.

The Saint's pose and design I really enjoy. They're fluffy, and I think I did a good job making it my own. Also, their karma mark hovering above the red centipede I am also fond of. To make it, I used something called Chromatic Aberration, where different colors are kinda leaking off of it, giving a sort of glitchy vibe. To make it yourself, duplicate what you want the effect on twice, to have three objects. Go into each of their properties and remove all of the active color channels except one: one should be blue, one green, and one red. Then, shift two of them in different directions, preferably opposite directions. You're welcome.

Hey! Speaking of centipedes, I am proud of how the red centipede turned out as well. It was kinda tricky trying to figure out how to get it to look good, but their pose, their legs, and their "whiskers" look decent.

So, while there are some things I would like to change about this picture, it still holds a place in my heart for being one of the most coolest, dynamic, and active drawings I've made.
