Party Art #4a- Mario Party 3 (Story Mode)
First Completion Art with the new designs for the Party Pals, pillow shading, and yet another new brush.

Finally, I have caught up to the Party game's art. This game's Story Mode was insane, it took me more than 3 or 4 tries to beat the last Duel Board, and on several instances I had almost lost a Battle Royal Board.
Brustle (the teal witch cat) is running away with the real Millennium Star inside the board game. Next to her, Magus (green magician lynx) is reaching for the star. Willow (orange hacker wolf) is following behind, with a "Snuffit" she's going to use as a gun. Oliver (purple-blue apothecary st. bernard) is using the Battle Space goomba to parachute down. The mustached Millennium Star is in the background.
I did no shading on the millennium star that Brustle is holding, instead, it has what the wiki describes as a "rainbow halo." The other stuff that isn't my four characters (Mustached Star, Goomba & his parachute, Snuffit) are all shaded with shaped gradients. In short, I attempted to do pillow shading on them. Normally, you don't want to do pillow shading, as it makes certain things unreadable, not to mention the lack of light source. I wanted to use pillow shading on them specifically because of a few reasons:
- Doing so differentiates them from my characters, which are shaded with my normal cell-shading.
- Pillow shading makes them look like toys, or at least makes them look not real.
To add to the Mustached Millennium Star's presence, I made a new brush that makes sparkles. It seems to work.
