News Update: November of 2025

After a long break of not posting anything, period, I realize the importance of having my own privately owned spot of the internet. Expect some major changes soon!

News Update: November of 2025
Being the dumbest smartass on the internet since 2022.

It's been a while.

First off, I want to explain some stuff. I got tired of posting on this site at some point. Mainly, it was because I kept making posts dedicated to having stream imbeds (which, a little while after I stopped doing those posts, I lost access to imbed video links here [more on that later]), and my art.

I usually feel like this is just an isolated space on the internet, that almost no one sees, so at some point I stopped caring to post here. But now, I have realized that having a personal website that doesn't adhere to anyone's goddamn fucking standards, especially in this day in age, is a godsend.

So, I am keeping this website. I am free to post anything on my mind here. The only downside is that, as far as I know, it's still not possible to get an account and post comments here, sadly. Maybe that will get fixed soon, I don't know. But for now, it is important that I have my private property on the internet, in an age where anything personal about you is becoming everyone's business (especially the supervillain companies; looking at you, Alphabet, owner of Google and YouTube).

While this is my private property, I have some other areas that I frequent.

YouTube

I've mentioned streaming, which I do on my YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCfegzKGZymDOlIbahuJStCA

I don't make any money from it, I use it for a personal hobby of streaming (as I've clearly stated up near the beginning). So there's no monetization.

YouTube is not the best, but it's the only place that I know of that saves your VODs of anything you stream on there. It's an evil I have to tolerate until I don't have to. Hopefully, they stop with their shit soon, as I'm getting real tired of it.

Recently, Alphabet's Algorithmic Intelligence has decided that it doesn't trust that I'm as old as I am. So it tried changing some settings behind my back. I changed them back, except for the ad stuff, as it locks me out of it because of how old it thinks I am.

You wanna know how I can "confirm" with them that I am that old? I have my pick of three options, each one having major downsides and/or won't work at all. At some point, I might rant about it in a post. Just know that I am not doing that shit anytime soon.

To anyone that is out there, please please PLEASE knock YouTube (and Google, or Alphabet honestly) down several pegs. It's the main dedicated video sharing site to a lot of people, and while social media exist that let you post stuff too, not to the extent of this one. It's a household name at this point, and I'd like some competition, if not to join then to definitely force YouTube into adapting for the better.

Newgrounds

As I've said before, I got tired of posting art on here that most likely won't be seen by anyone. For a long while I debated on what site to go to for my art, and eventually settled on Newgrounds: https://bhusterebysbuzz.newgrounds.com

It's one of the websites from the wild west days of the internet, that is still healthy today. And for good reason. Through my research, I found that there isn't really an algorithm, nor is AI allowed (with small exceptions, but they explained why that is, and the site itself doesn't use AI for anything; it's moderated by humans).

I usually find myself drawn to older things in general. I like a lot of games that are considered old now, a decent chunk of my music taste is some older rock and metal, and newer shows and movies seem to push me away, while older ones draw me in (not that it's any easier to find time to watch them, but still). Newgrounds is an old site for artists, and to my knowledge, the site has stayed true to itself in this day and age. Nothing that you'd find in the likes of Twitter, Instagram, TikTok (not that I'd ever TOUCH the damn thing, mind you), and the likes. Not that I would, but I do like that there isn't an Instagram-, YouTube-, or TikTok-like algorithm that forces its users to be hip with the times to gain any sort of traction.

The downside (and mainly the reason why I hesitated for so long) is that I fear people will start shitting on my art. Mainly because I would be starting with my oldest Completion Art, and working through the years I've been doing it.

I decided that I should just rip the band-aid off. Right now I have three pieces on there. I have updated creator commentaries on them, and especially because it's older, I talk about what I would do if I were making them now.

It's just nice to post them on a site where I can actually share them. What is art if you can't share it?

Now that I'm going to get back into this website again, I'm thinking about making some drastic changes.

I'm going to remove most of my tabs up there (except for Posts), then make some new ones. I am mainly going to use this website to talk about what I want to talk about, which includes progress on some projects, random shit that floats by my brain, and such.

My plan is that I'll have Rambles and Rants in the Posts tab. Rambles are random tangents that I talk about, like any random thoughts that might enter my brain. Rants are me complaining and venting about shit.

News (like this post) and Updates will be on the main page. News will be any major post that talks about important things, while Updates will mostly be talking about stuff I'm currently up to, how things have been, etc.

I will be removing the Streams tab, and instead be replacing it with the Reviews tab. There will be a few categories: Backlog Review, Backburner Review, and Frights Review. My plan is that I will take several games at a time within each series of mine, and review them essentially. I will explain more when/if I get to it (this is currently a brainstorm).

The Art tab will be replaced with a Projects tab. I will most likely have Art Projects, Comic Projects, and maybe some Video Projects. I will be talking about the progress I make with any given piece. Expect to actually see a lot of "behind the scenes" type stuff here. (Video Projects might not become a thing, but it's possible)

No more Character tab or Music tab, instead I'll probably have an Essay tab. I have at least one good idea/category for this one: the Fear Express. As a fan of horror games, I enjoy how they manage to scare you, and so the Fear Express is dedicated to dissecting how they do it. I bet I could probably think of some other categories in this tab too, like Lore Librarian, where I could talk about the lore in certain games, etc., etc.

The site will be changing quite a bit coming in the near soon, but hopefully I can actually start using it the way I want to, without tiring of it.

This has been a big news update, but that's it! I hope to see you (or anyone reading this) soon. For now, though, cya.
