October Update

It's been a while

since I've made one of these.

So it's October. I've done quite a lot since then. When was the last one? March? May, even? Regardless, I have been up to a lot of things. Let's catch up.

Streams

As you might have noticed, I haven't bothered with any kind of Let's Plays for a while now. Instead, I've been streaming games. This is for many reasons:

• This lets me record my progress in beating any games
• It lets me get through games at a more constant rate
• It's more relaxed than doing a regular Let's Play, since I don't have to worry about not being able to deliver knowledge about the game
• It allows for a more personalized experience, since it allows for people to show up and interact live

Now I can get through a lot of the games I want to play. In addition, I'm getting some drawings related to those games done, both for the stream hangout screen and some actual fanart. But that's not all I've been drawing...

Avatars

My avatars have updated yet again. Bhuster has gotten a better hairdo alongside a better cap. Bramble and Brustle's cheek tufts & ears are redone, and Brustle replaced the cloak with a hood.

Bruss has also gotten a redesign...

who's Bruss? Oh, she's a character of mine that I'm gonna be playing for an upcoming SMP, made by a friend of mine. It's called BoundBreak, and it's going to come out pretty soon.

Art

While we're on the subject of art, I want to discuss the other things I've been drawing. As mentioned before, I've been drawing fanart of the games I play. First, there's a new frame for my background in the room on my streams. It changes the room to showcase some different things on the desk, as well as framed fanart of the game they belong to.

Music

Remember when I complained about not being able to completely create my own soundfonts? Turns out I believe I can. If you generate silence in Audacity, and take the pencil tool after you zoom in enough, you can create your own waveforms. I have a plan that will hopefully turn out the best results, because the ones that I have made for testing sound okay, but could be better.

The plan: make a wave that goes up and down back to the middle, copy that and inverse it (making it go down and up back to the middle), test it, mess with changing pitches as needed, save each pitch (including the # and b) as individual files, then put them into the soundfont maker.

If I have successful results, I will report back, but for now let's move on.

Projects

I currently don't have any story projects that I'm working on at the moment. Haven't worked on the Edensen project thing for months and months. There are still ideas floating around in my head, but I don't know which one to start, what medium it should be in, and what its full story should be, among others.

Hopefully once everything settles, I can think of some soon.

Videos

This one I haven't even started yet. I was thinking about doing some video stuff. What I want to do is turn a series of streams into a long video detailing the story/gameplay, highlighting some moments during streams, and giving my honest thoughts about the game.

I may do this. I may not do this. One thing for certain though, is that I do want to at least make shorter versions of stream vods for easier consumption. In addition, I also have some stuff that I just flat out record instead of stream, with the intent to make them videos of their own right (Mainly, this is the Rain World challenges and expedition quests at the moment). Hopefully I find time to edit these soon.

Website

Last thing I want to touch up on. I want to edit this site a bit. Stuff like Table of Contents that I've heard about I think will benefit this place in some areas. Maybe also some inline pics and such. I can edit themes that I use from the website host provider thing, and that means there is high potential for customization. Be on the lookout.
