The OC's from the Past (Group 4: VG OC's)

I talk about my OC's. I will be finishing up my characters that I created in a gaming environment.

Welcome back to the next post in the series about OC's.
If you don't recall the formula in which I do this in, or didn't check out the previous post, here's a run-down:

  • Characters will be put in drop-down menus.
  • It will mention, in this probable order: their name (on the box), a description, their personality and skills, and their roles.
  • For characters that have evolved over the years, I will mention either the latest one or my favorite one.
  • I will make mention of any important iterations using the angle bracket ">".
  • If a character was migrated into a new group, I will mention the group, and mark any changes they have had.

Now, let us begin:

Video Game OC's

This set is the rest of my OC's involved with the games I play. Whether they were created for a game, or are otherwise involved with gaming in some sort of way.

Grim Landers

Ben Gothic

Ben is a regular guy, cursed to be glitched and taken through different universes. His most defining characteristics are his pupil-less eyes and his red scarf covering his mouth. He's got tan-colored skin, and purplish-black hair.

He's good at tech, but tech isn't good with him.

> This guy was inspired by a glitch that happened in Spooky's Jumpscare Mansion involving Specimen 6 (nicknamed Ben due to the BenDROWNED connection). I named the glitched out specimen Ben Glitchington. At some point I changed his name to Glurph. He was more of an asshole before. I had planned on doing the Joja route in Stardew Valley with him, but didn't go through.

Another character mentioned in the latest Project post.

Wade Rikshaw

He was originally planned as my OC for the Don't Starve universe, though I still haven't made him into an actual mod yet.

Wade is an african-american man, with a decent head of hair, along with a sweet beard. I never bothered giving him a unique outfit, sadly, but he'd be able to pull off any style.

He enjoys the wild, and had always wanted to do wildlife documentaries. Unfortunately, he gets sucked into the Constant (the dimension that Don't Starve takes place in), and has to deal with the unknown and horrifying wildlife within.

> There is another last name I debated giving him: Rashew. I'll let you decide which one is better.

The Blank Man

The Blank Man was a white-colored humanoid, with no eyes or mouth. Its face didn't exist, but the shape of what their face could've been was there. They had really thick bushy autumn-colored hair, taking up the top, back, and the sides of his head. It also had a big bushy beard. They wore a long black robe, hidden by their huge cloak.

Their motivations and source of power are up in the air. This is the eldrich OC, after all. However, there have been some theories, and some documented info about what they can do.

Facts first: it has some menacing wings that seem to form out of its cloak. It is seen dripping with the darkness it is theorized to possess (though some speculate it to be the pitch-black blood that flows within it). The left hand that it would have if it was human is sometimes seen as a big set of crustacean claws.

Now theories: some speculate that it heavily guards a strange 3-headed flower that is found in the woods it inhabits. Others also think that it could be benevolent, and could be reasoned with. Why they think this, no one knows.

> If you couldn't tell, this thing was inspired by Slenderman.

Expies

Sal Yoshio

Sal is the younger brother of Sam. He's asian, with blue eyes and black hair. His hair is more wild than his brothers, which is how they usually get told apart. He wears a red t-shirt over a blue long-sleeve shirt. Finishing the outfit, he wears jeans and brown ankle-cut boots.

He is very energetic and outgoing. Sometimes he has a hair-trigger temper too, as he's more prone to fights.

> Originally had the last name Yukino, but that isn't a legit sounding last name.

Sam Yoshio

Sam is the older brother of the duo. He's a bit taller, with his hair being more kempt. He wears a similar outfit, but the t-shirt is green.

Calm and collected, Sam doesn't make many enemies. He enjoys a chill life with his girlfriend Amy. However, piss him off and he'll give you an awful time.

Jaime Pierre

Jaime is Sam's love interest. She has long black hair with the bangs combed to both sides. Her blue eyes leave people stunned. She wears a simple outfit, being a long-sleeve red shirt, jeans, and shoes.

I don't remember too much of her personality, but she's a bit more subdued than Amy.

Amy Churchilina

Sam's girlfriend. She's short, has red hair, wears glasses in front of her brown eyes, has freckles, and loves to wear lime green.

She's very chipper and goofy, and loves to hang out with friends. Whenever they do activities, she puts her all into it.

Kate Fille

Kate is one of two twin sisters. She has long brown hair with bangs combed to the left, has brown eyes, and likes to wear pink clothing.

She's shy and quite modest, much different from her more well-known sister. The attention that her sister brings them both is unpleasant to her.

> Her name was originally Kestrillo Fillogati.

Yanna Fille

Yanna is one of two twin sisters. She has long brown hair with bangs combed to the right, has brown eyes, and likes to wear green clothing.

She's shameless and promiscuous, always looking to have some fun. However, she tries to make sure nothing she does affects her too much. If anyone tries to get with Kate, thinking that she's the same as Yanna, Yanna protects Kate and kicks the dude's ass.

>Her first name was originally Yukomoni.

Owen Knolle

Owen is native-american, with a big build. He has black hair, which is kinda shaggy, and is shoulder-length. He also has a neck beard (I know how that sounds; he isn't a neckbeard in personality). He also wears glasses.

He's a chill guy, vibing through life. That's all I remember. That, and the fact he wants to be a captain at some point.

Zimmie Styles

Zimmie I don't remember too much of. She has black hair that frames her face, and a small ponytail.

All I recall of her personality is that she's vain, fashion-obsessed, and just plain rude.

This odd group requires a note before the content. The first name for this group, Link Namers, came from their origins. I had a document with links to all sorts of music from YouTube that I wanted to download. Mainly a lot of Video Game OST's. I pasted the link, then put a comment in parenthesis afterward on the same line.

The doc lasted for several years, and I wish I still kept it in order to remember some shit. Due to the lasting nature of the document, and because I kept making snide comments, I eventually developed a lore for it. This might be the weirdest way anyone could've made a set of OC's.

The other name for this group, Blue Cloaks, is from me wanting to save these characters from fading into nothingness. I want to use them for something else, I just need to find out what. My current idea is that they're gamers playing games with each other, explaining the weird names.

Nave

The one that wrote the comments for every link. He's inherently goofy, since a lot of the names he provides were mainly jokes and puns based off of the name of the song, and occasionally the game it's from. Occasionally there were story arcs that requires him to be more serious, but he mainly remains his usual silly self.

> He originally lacked a name, but at some point (I think it was around PMD:BRT) I revealed his name to be... Namer. Creativity, thou art mine middle name.

Haze

A friend of Nave, sometimes nervous and cautious. He tries to be careful in the situations he finds himself in, which isn't always possible when Nave was around.

> I don't remember the original name of this guy, but him and the next guy Johs were introduced in the PMD:BRT comments as the names of the Pokemon partner and the Magnemite partner respectively.

Johs

Another friend of Nave's, who is known to be very sarcastic. Anything can happen, and he'd have a wisecrack for it.

> Another friend introduced into the lore from the PMD:BRT comments, being the Magnemite within the story.

Abi

The love interest for Nave, a lighthearted and kind individual. A bit naïve in some situations, but has the smarts to get herself out of trouble.

The only one to have a power. Or, had, would be the better one. In one prequel story arc she was shown to have her own pocket dimension, but when some explosive was about to explode everyone into bits, she shoved it into the dimension, completely devastating it and rendering it useless. I don't recall why she had it, and whether or not she was an alien that just looks human enough, or whatnot.

> Her name was originally Namy, showing that she was the SO of Namer (now Nave). She became Abi because I already have an Amy character.

Vul

A woman that sometimes got involved in other adventures with Nave and his crew. Considered as a girlfriend of Johs, if they ever got together. She's shy and quiet, but the snark she emits can rival Johs' comments.

Qin

The love interest to Haze, Qin is a very confident woman that doesn't have much shame.

That's about it, I didn't really have much other plans for her.

SCADE

Jen Nikara

Jen is the first member of the crew. She's a ginger, but has a bit of an asian background. Her hair is cut almost tomboyishly short. She wears glasses. Her figure is a bit chubby, and a lot curvy.

She's their gunner. Armed with a blaster, she is raring to fight. Her energy is through roof a majority of the time. Don't let it fool you, however, as she's a very competent leader.

Vinny Ghetalou

Vinny is second-in-command, the strategist, and Jen's boyfriend. He's a big but stout man. His hair is black, of which he uses his bangs to frame his face. He has a small goatee on his chin.

He wields any sword with ease. In general, he's a chill guy, as long as you don't piss him off, which takes a lot more effort to do so than normal. Say what you will about his appearance, he can be quite charming without putting much thought to it.

Sam Vernule

Sam (no relation to Sam Yoshio) is the daughter of the robot maker Conrie. She's become a cyborg, for some reason or another. Her legs and hands are metal, allowing her to hit hard without any weapons. Her blonde hair is a bit disheveled. She always has a serious expression. Her build, aside from the cyborg parts, is actually average. She assists Jen and Vinny.

She has almost no emotional response to anything. Due to becoming a cyborg, she's experienced such terrible pain that she lost the ability to feel certain things, emotions included. Thus, she always has the ability to view things from a purely statistical and logical perspective.

> I don't recall if she's a cyborg (real human, but modified with robotics) or if she was an android (a human-like robot).

Conrie Vernule

Conrie created Sam, as well as the entire group of SCADE (though he runs things in the background; he's willing to let Jen lead the expedition team). He's tall, scraggly, and old. His gray hair is due for a haircut since last year. Due to losing his eyesight, he needs to wear glasses.

He enjoys making robots and gadgets and the likes, but he's become very cynical about the world.

History

For the Link Namers / Blue Cloaks, look above. Those OC's could only be talked about if you know the context beforehand.

Anyway, the rest are a bit more understandable without precursory notes. The Grim Landers are characters made for/in either horror games, or dark and gritty games. It's not a nice world.

Expy is short for "Exported Character," according to Tv Tropes. These characters are based off of some of the more important imaginary friends that I had, that weren't already my own creation. Sal and Sam are the Mario bros, for example. I wanted to create a set of characters for a friend group, and since I already had certain personalities that I would attach to them, I just needed to give them a new coat of paint.

SCADE is an acronym for something, of what I no longer remember. These guys were made using Super Smash Bros. for the 3DS. As such, I made their Miis to turn into the Mii character for that game. Jen was the gunner, Vinny was the swordsman, and Sam was the brawler. I then took them and came up with the idea that they'd be part of a company, and that Sam was some sort of cyborg/android. So I created the founder of SCADE, Conrie Vernule. The first three explored lands to preserve nature, while Conrie does some other stuff.

Here we are. It's amazing just how many of these I have, and especially how I create them to being in the first place.

Next set will be fully original characters that I attempted to make stories with. I will see you in.
