The OC's from the Past (Group 5: Pure OC's)

I talk about my OC's. These were the characters that I tried to make a legit story with.

Welcome back to another post regarding my OC's.
If you don't recall the formula in which I do this in, or didn't check out the previous post, here's a run-down:

  • Characters will be put in drop-down menus.
  • It will mention, in this probable order: their name (on the box), a description, their personality and skills, and their roles.
  • For characters that have evolved over the years, I will mention either the latest one or my favorite one.
  • I will make mention of any important iterations using the angle bracket ">".
  • If a character was migrated into a new group, I will mention the group, and mark any changes they have had.

Now, let us begin:

Pure OC's

About high school, I started making my own characters that were separate from the worlds of others. My own stories, my own ideas, everything.

This will be a bit more like the Terraria post, as these are separate worlds that require their own context.

Dreamworld

Tina Welford

Tina is the protagonist. She wakes up from her slumber to get a glass of water when something happens with... her grandfather clock? I can't fully remember. She hears something, and gets transported to this "dark world" area.

She is white, with long brown hair and big blue eyes. She's a bit chubby, with a slightly above-average bust size. Her features in general are smooth. Her only outfit she has on is a big gray (and now tattered) sleeping gown, with some pink slippers.

She is quite a nervous wreck right now, due to being transported into the unknown. In general, she's a very timid individual. She thinks quick on her feet, and is surprisingly agile. If cornered, Tina becomes quite the pragmatic fighter. Her main goal will usually be to get away from her foes, but sometimes brute force is necessary.

The badge she gets initially is a Wing badge, which turns any item that fits the requirements into a set of wings, allowing them to fly around. Unfortunately, the only fitting item she has that can equip it... is her weathered sleeping gown. Understandably, she isn't too fond of the idea. Moving along, she finds a stick that is surprisingly decent as a makeshift weapon. Throughout the story, she would've gotten more badges, for both her equipment, and her weapons. Shame that I didn't get too far in planning this one.

Wick Everburg

Wick is a supporting ally. He encounters Tina soon after she enters the world, and tries to help her out. Throughout the story, there's supposed to be questions raised about the relations between Wick and the Dreamworld.

He is slightly shorter than the average male, and slightly slimmer too. His skin is almost pale. He has brown disheveled hair, and green eyes. He wears a fancy vest over a long sleeve button up shirt. Alongside that, he wears dark pants and tennis shoes.

He's a bit somber, but that doesn't stop him from helping someone like Tina when he encounters them. He sometimes seems distant from others, like his mind is lost in thought constantly. The rest of his personality is a bit of a mystery.

I didn't get far enough to create what he would have equipped and wielded.

I don't recall having a legit name for this idea, but the premise is about this new dimension that has magic abilities called Badges be applied to objects and creatures, that affect their attributes in numerous ways.

Tina gets transported to the world, with intentions of escaping. She meets Wick, who seems helpful, but there might be more of a link between Wick and the world than it appears...

Dium

Felix Arkis

Felix is a dirty redhead, with brown eyes and freckles. He has an average build, maybe a bit athletic. He wears an orange shirt with a purple design on it (resembling a bird of some sort), some jeans, and boots. He's twins with Fritz.

He is energetic, outgoing, and won't let a little thing such as a lack of a plan stop him. Always looking for a new adventure, he's ready to hit the ground running.

> The last name was originally Arcis, which was an acronym. No, I don't remember it, what do you expect?

His first name used to be Phoenix, not Felix.

Fritz Arkis

Fritz is a dirty redhead, with brown eyes and freckles. She has an average build, while being slightly athletic. She wears a purple shirt with an orange design on it (resembling a lion head), a denim skirt, and boots. She's twins with Felix.

She is cool, confident, and charming. She's got a good head upon her shoulders, being the one to plan everything that the guild needs to do. Her skill at analyzing absolutely everything in the moment is unmatched.

> Much like Felix, the last name was originally Arcis.

In addition, her name was not Fritz originally. It was Sphinx. It was supposed to fit the theme of Felix's original name of Phoenix.

Kim Osaki

[Remember the first Group? The Imaginary Friends? Kim actually comes back here, because I guess I felt like it]

Kim's ethnicity is asian. She has a curvy figure, with a noticeable bust. Her black hair is in a bob cut of sorts, with flat-cut bangs. Her green eyes have been described as being emeralds. She wears a dark blue shirt, with a yellow 4-point star on the top left part of the front, light blue pants, and sneakers.

She was a bit more modest and serious, but deep inside, she really enjoys the hunt for the Skouls. Sometimes she just likes to use her magic in chaotic and powerful ways, because it's fun. When not adventuring, she's either reading or napping.

The world of Dium is a chaotic and wild world filled to the brim with beings called Skouls. The trio are part of a group called the Friends Guild. The guild specializes in hunting down Skouls. This was a game idea, where you tame the wild world and defeat the dark Skouls that are plotting to destroy the world.

Brawlers

Jade Kee

Jade is a sneaky motherfucker. She has shoulder-length bright red hair, brown eyes, and a thin figure. Her outfit consists of a black full-body suit, with a dark red skirt being held by a silver belt.

She has a familiar, with it being a red cat with a bowtie.

She is a confident sunnovabitch. She is a fast opponent, who prefers to either use hit-and-run tactics, or to attack from afar. She dual-wields daggers, and she has a charmed knife that she can mentally fly around, thanks to her symbol on it.

> She used to have the last name Frutis, then it went to Frull, but to make her contrast more with Alex I renamed her last name to be Kee.

Alex Locke

Alex Locke is a bit of a bulky person. He has a square jaw, and some freckles on his cheeks. His black hair is parted at the front to reveal all of his face. He wears a short sleeved shirt, with an open vest over it, alongside a pair of shorts and shoes.

His familiar is a small, green dragon, the same size as a housecat.

For the most part, Alex is sometimes unamused at his circumstances. When it comes to brawling, he's very stoic and calculative in his strategies. Not much fazes him. He wields a spear and his spellbook, for when he wants to go on the offensive or defensive respectively. His trinket is a small raincloud that has a lightning rod with his symbol on it: it leaves hurtful rain on the ground, and can occasionally strike lightning at things.

> His original name is Alex, but at some point I wanted to make it Felix, and change his design, but I figured that it probably was not worth it.

These were two characters I was gonna have brawl with each other. Sadly, I never had them brawl.

Both Jade and Alex are well known in the brawling space, as both have had higher than average win-loss ratios in favor of the former. I would've paid to see them fight. Part of what makes their fights so fun is not only their trinkets that they can control, but also their familiar buddies.

Scarlette Island

Clare

Clare is a catgirl. Not a furry, a catgirl. She has long, light red hair, with similar-colored cat ears on the top. She has blue eyes, and freckles. She wears another dress gown, under which her long light red tail comes out of, with a bulb at the end of the tail. Occasionally, it looks like she has one fang.

The world she wakes up in is confusing to her, so she feels lost and confused. Also very cautious, as she doesn't know what is out there. She finds it easy to trust, though she wish she wouldn't.

-

Eventually she finds out that she is a part-clone of a woman called Scarlette (no relation to the Terraria character, though she is a legit redhead too), with the other part of her genetics being one of the more mild monsters, whose most prominent features are their cat-like ears, and their long tail with a bulb on the end. This makes Clare sad, and provides her some perspective on Zack's point of view.

Zack Ovurburr

Zack is a shady looking man. He has a basic figure. His black hair is cut very short, and he has a five o'clock shadow. His green eyes hide the pain he is in. He lost his shirt, but he at least have slacks, shoes, and arm wrappings.

He finds and helps Clare out, hopeful that she would either help him find, or at least be almost like, his friend Scarlette (no relation to the Terraria character). He tries his best to protect Clare, as he's afraid of losing her again.

-

He becomes mad depressed when he finds the resting place of Scarlette.

Scarlette Island is a story about a poor lost soul in the caverns deep underneath an island that houses a lab and monsters. Clare is the aforementioned poor sap that was lost, but she gets located by Zack pretty quickly. Their job is to explore the island to figure out what happened.

Loire Fantasy

Larz Jelvis

Larz is tall, black, and dapper. He has short hair, and has red glasses over his hazel eyes. His attire is a soft blue tuxedo, with a white undershirt, though he lacks the tie. The rest of his outfit includes black pants and shoes.

He's pretty easygoing. Larz enjoys his job at the library, as it allows him to get close with all the stories he's ever wanted to read. Don't let him fool you though, when he puts his mind to something, he is very determined to see it through.

Frederick Wardson

Frederick was a tall and lanky fellow. His brown hair was unkempt, with a small soulpatch on his chin. His hazel eyes looked supremely tired. He used to wear a red jacket (always zipped up, but with the hood down), jeans, and some ratty old shoes.

Not much was known about him, because he kept mostly to himself. People believed that he was either a psychopath, a sociopath, or was just apathetic to others around him. It's a shame nobody bothered to ask.

-

He turned out to be the creator of the book. No longer in human form, he appears to be a mixture of scribbled shadows, and an empty void that erases anything from existence. He became this due to his obsession with his makeshift book world, to the point that he shut himself inside the book, and became corrupted into believing that he was the almighty god and devil of his own creation.

There were tales about a book that can transport you inside its world. What they don't tell you is that it was created by a demented mind, and that he resides within the book too. The protagonist finds the book at the library, with Larz telling them all he knows. When they enter, they have to find the man known as Frederick, as only he has the power to take people out.

History

The Dreamworld was an idea I had in my early years of high school. I used to have a drawing of Tina in her home spotting whatever it was that took her to the shadow realm, but I don't know what happened to it. I was also working on a piece where she used her wings, but that was gone too.

Dium was one of my game ideas, that didn't get much traction. This one was the closest to a world idea where I just made a bunch of strange and alien creatures, so I don't remember which parts went to Dium and which ones didn't.

I made the Brawlers because I wanted to pass some time in class one day. That's about it.

Scarlette Island was one of my first attempts to make a story where I was "playing" the story. I had a small map, which let me know where I was, and I had a notebook, to jot down the current progress I made.

Loire Fantasy was me making a story about someone who was like me (who went into their fantasy world), but turned out for the very worst (they became a broken mind that got further corrupted within their world). The protagonists' final goal would be to defeat him, and put his spirit to rest, and that would take them out of the book.

Finally, some originality. The next batch of characters are sorta related to each other, and you will see some repeats, because surprise, I recycled some characters in things I wanted them more in.

I hope to see you then.
