I grew up playing the third game in this series. Superstar Saga started another cool RPG series in the Mario universe, where your main two party members (plus co.) kick ass if you synergize them well. Mario (or the front guy) is controlled by the A button, Luigi (or the back guy) is the B button, and if you get in battle those buttons also control them. Including the blocking/counterattacking.
Yes, this starts the series where Mario and Luigi send back impossible to dodge attacks at eldrich beings to murder them.
I've wanted to play this for a while, so here we are. The jump smoothness is a bit strange, but I'll survive. I think.
